dc.description.abstractThis report is based on findings from a research project led by Associate Professor Marcus Carter and the University of Sydney Games & Play Lab. The team comprised 11 researchers from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, all of whom have expertise in digital games, games production, games cultures or associated technologies. The project’s aim was to understand the role and effects of major events like SXSW Sydney within the Australian games industry. This report is a preliminary output with more detailed findings forthcoming in academic publications.en
