    • RAFT without an “R-Group”: From Asymmetric Homo-telechelics to Multiblock Step-Growth and Cyclic Block Copolymers

Hakobyan, Karen; McErlean, Christopher S.P.; Muellner, Markus
      Published 2021
The amalgamation of photoredox catalysis and reversible-deactivation radical polymerization (RDRP) has offered new avenues of controlling polymer synthesis in recent years. Additionally, the incorporation of bismuth oxide ...

    • A Regenerable Biosensing Platform for Bacterial Toxins

Antunez, E. Eduardo; Mahon, Clare S.; Tong, Ziqiu; Voelcker, Nicholas H.; Muellner, Markus
      Published 2020
Waterborne diarrheal diseases such as travelers’ diarrhea and cholera remain a threat to public health in many countries. Rapid diagnosis of an infectious disease is critical in preventing the escalation of a disease ...

    • Molecular Polymer Brushes Made via Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization from Cleavable RAFT Macromonomers

      Gegenhuber, Thomas; Muellner, Markus
      Published 2021
The use of labile covalent bonds such as oximes and acetals for their application in the synthesis, and controlled triggered deconstruction, of molecular polymer brushes (MPBs) is reported. Macromonomers (MMs) are produced ...

    • Activating ATRP Initiators to Incorporate End-Group Modularity into Photo-RAFT Polymerization

Hakobyan, Karen; McErlean, Christopher S.P.; Muellner, Markus
      Published 2020
Heterogeneous photocatalysis is increasingly used in reversible deactivation radical polymerization (RDRP). In this study, we found that alkyl bromide redox chemistry typically found in atom transfer radical polymerization ...

    • Lichtinduzierte MADIX Polymerisation im sichtbaren Spektrum durch wiederverwendbares, preiswertes und ungiftiges Bismutoxid als Photokatalysator

Hakobyan, Karen; Gegenhuber, Thomas; McErlean, Christopher S.P.; Muellner, Markus
      Published 2018
Der Einbezug von Photokatalyse in Methoden der Reversiblen Deaktivierung Radikalischen Polymerisation (RDRP) hat in den letzten Jahren ein schnell wachsendes Forschungsfeld in der Polymerforschung begründet. In diesem ...
