This report presents the findings of focus groups that were conducted with service providers who work with women seeking Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders in NSW. The focus groups were conducted as the first stage of a research project funded by the NSW Law and Justice Foundation. The project sought to understand the lived experience of women who were attempting to use the law for protection from domestic violence. The findings of the focus groups provided sensitising information that assisted in developing the study of women’s experiences.en
