In order to reverse this trend, the railway has taken a series of countermeasures which have resulted in obvious effects. 1.To set up the railway freight and passenger transport marketing system which can meet the requirement of market. 2.To make the railway transport enterprises operational mechanism be matched with market economy. 3.To improve the service quality both in freight and passenger transport. 4. Restructuring will be continued and deepened in order to establish the tariff mechanism, which will be suitable for market. 5. It is the important measure to increase the passenger trains traveling speed for strengthening competitiveness6.
