    • Catalytic arene alkylation over H-Beta zeolite: Influence of zeolite shape selectivity and reactant nucleophilicity

Xin, Zeng; Wang, Zichun; Ding, Jia; Wang, Leizhi; Jiang, Yijiao; Stampfl, Catherine; Hunger, Michael; Huang, Jun
      Published 2019
Renewable arenes and aromatic alcohols can be derived from lignocellulose by biorefineries, which has been considered as a sustainable alternative to replace petrochemical feedstocks in the synthesis of monobenzylation ...

    • Production and application of carbon nanotubes, as a co-product of hydrogen from the pyrolysis-catalytic reforming of waste plastic

Wu, Chunfei; Nahil, Mohamad A.; Miskolczi, Norbert; Huang, Jun; Williams, Paul T.
      Published 2016
Hydrogen production from waste plastics is an important alternative for managing waste plastics. This work addresses a promising technology for co-producing high value carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in addition to the production ...

    • Design of Steel Equal Angle Lintels (No. R890)

      Trahair, Nicholas S.
      Published 2008-01-01
Single equal angle steel beams are often used as lintels to support eccentric loading acting normal to one flange. This loading causes combined biaxial bending and torsion, which is not allowed for in most steel design ...

    • Impact tests, parametric impact studies and design impact forces on drive-in steel storage racks (No. R903)

Gilbert, Benoit P.; Rasmussen, Kim J.R.; Zhang, Hao
      Published 2009-01-01
Extensively used in the industry to store goods, storage racks are frequently subjected to accidental impact forces from operating forklift trucks. There is currently little understanding of the nature of these impact ...

    • Buckling Analysis Design of Steel Frames (No. R891)

      Trahair, Nicholas S.
      Published 2008-01-01
Steel design codes do not provide sufficient information for the efficient design of steel structures against out-of-plane failure, and what is provided is often overly conservative. The method of design by buckling ...
