Established and supported under the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Program, the Wheat CRC operated for 13 years, as Quality Wheat CRC from 1995-2001, and as Value Added Wheat CRC from 2001-2008. The Core Participants of VAWCRC were Allied Mills Australia Pty Ltd, Arnott's Biscuits Ltd, Bayer CropScience, the Grains Research & Development Corporation, NSW Department of Primary Industries, The Department of Agriculture and Food (WA) and The University of Sydney.
Quality Wheat CRC (QWCRC) had five research programs:
- New Wheats and Breeding Aids
- Growing and Storing Quality Wheat
- Processing of Wheat and Wheat Products: Milling and Baking
- Products from Wheat
- Flour and Dough Components and their Interaction
Value Added Wheat CRC (VAWCRC) had five programs:
- Diagnostics
- Products and Processing
- Genomics and Proteomics
- Germplasm and Varieties
- Education and Technology Transfer
The reports in the following collection are therefore prefixed with either “QWCRC” or “VAWCRC”. A listing of Wheat CRC papers published in refereed journals is also attached.
