    • Local structure adaptations and oxide ionic conductivity in the Type III stability region of (1–x)Bi2O3∙xNb2O5

Wind, Julia; Sharma, Neeraj; Yaremchenko, Aleksey A; Kharton, Vladislav V; Blom, Douglas A; Vogt, Thomas; Ling, Chris D
      Published 2018-01-01
Starting from a previously published stoichiometric model for the commensurate Type III phase in the (1–x)Bi2O3∙xNb2O5 system, Bi94Nb32O221 (x = 0.254), we have developed a crystal-chemical model of this phase across its ...

    • Liquid-like ionic diffusion in solid bismuth oxide revealed by coherent quasielastic neutron scattering

Wind, Julia; Mole, Richard A; Yu, Dehong; Ling, Chris D
      Published 2017-01-01
The exceptional oxide-ionic conductivity of the high-temperature phase of bismuth oxide gives rise to a characteristic “quasielastic” broadening of its neutron scattering spectrum. We show that the oscillating form of this ...
