| dc.description.abstract | Keeping up with the latest developments in crime prevention can be challenging. This seminar will highlight recent developments, including successful local crime prevention initiatives, and will include a small number of keynote presentations and interactive panel sessions. The two keynote speakers secured for this event are: Jackie Fitzgerald (Deputy Director, NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research). Jackie will discuss recent NSW crime trends. With 2009 NSW crime data to be released in late April 2010, Jackie will be discussing the latest crime trends across NSW. Peter Homel (Research Manager, Crime Reduction and Review Program, Australian Institute of Criminology). Peter will discuss contemporary crime prevention trends across Australia. Having worked across many Australian jurisdictions in recent years, Peter is in a good position to describe the latest crime prevention approaches being adopted in other States and Territories. | en |
