In March 2007 the United Kingdom government released the Draft Climate Change Bill 2007 (UK) (Climate Change Bill) for public comment. If enacted as proposed, the legislation will make the United Kingdom the first nation to establish a legally binding target for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
