The risk of liability relating to sustainability and climate change is an issue of growing significance for corporations. This article examines a number of areas in which Australian corporations are already subject to climate change regulation and liability. It also explores international developments as guides to the possible impact of climate change on directors' duties and corporate liability for greenhouse gas emissions. It argues that while a clear set of principles is yet to emerge, there is little doubt that concerns about climate change and sustainability will result in increased regulation and liability risks for corporations.en_AU
