In December 2021, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) announced a new policy initiative to advance accountability for the crime against humanity of persecution on the grounds of gender. The Prosecutor invited comments early in the development of this policy initiative. In response, Dr Rosemary Grey submitted these recommendations to the ICC Prosecutor in March 2022. The recommendations draw on Dr Grey's extensive research into the crime of gender-based persecution.en_AU
