As the Library works extensively with historical collections, this guide focuses on providing accurate titles, pronouns and genders for historical figures. These guidelines offer recommendations and practical examples of how to refer to people using accurate or gender-non-specific language, sentence structure, pronouns and genders, and accurate name/s.
