    • Behaviour of Single Angle Steel Beams (No. R884)

      Trahair, Nicholas S.
      Published 2007
A single angle steel beam is commonly loaded eccentrically in a plane inclined to the principal planes (Fig. 1), so that the beam undergoes primary bending and shear about both principal axes, torsion, and bearing at the ...

    • Strength and Ductility of Single Point, Self-Drilling Fasteners in Bending and Shear (No. R872)

      Bambach, Michael; Rasmussen, Kim J.R.
      Published 2006
The report describes tests on connections featuring self-drilling screws and gaps between the connected parts. Gap typically occur when using inserts of a smaller dimension than the overlapping section, e.g. a tube. In ...

    • Isoparametric Spline Finite Strip Method for the Bending of Perforated Plates (No. R877)

Eccher, Gabriele; Rasmussen, Kim J.R.; Zandonini, Riccardo
      Published 2007
In a previous report [1], the isoparametric spline finite strip method was successfully applied to the in-plane stress linear elastic analysis of perforated thin-walled structures. In the present report the application of ...

    • The Behaviour of Drive-in Racks under Horizontal Impact Load (No. R871)

      Hua, Vinh; Rasmussen, Kim J.R.
      Published 2006
This report is concerned with the behaviour of drive-in steel storage racks under horizontal impact load in the down-aisle direction. Such impact loads due to forklifts striking an upright us a major cause of structural ...

    • A three-dimensional numerical model for wave-induced soil response around the head of a breakwater (No. R859)

      Jeng, Dong S.; Li, Jian
      Published 2005
The evaluation of wave-induced seabed response has been recognised as a dominant factor in analyzing the seabed instability in the vicinity of a breakwater. Most previous investigations for wave-induced pore water pressure ...
