| dc.description.abstract | The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS‐CoV‐2), an enveloped virus, is the causative agent of the disease known as COVID‐19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019). The virus is transmitted via the droplet and contact route1 and there is a higher risk of virus transmission when aerosol generating procedures are performed. The median incubation period for COVID‐19 is approximately 5 days2 with symptoms appearing 2‐14 days post exposure. | en |
