dc.description.abstractDeveloping a health workforce that is capable, motivated and supported is essential to achieving national and global health goals. Good governance of health workforce will help improve quality of health care, assure equity in health, and should help to improve efficiency in use of health resources. So far, there has been no research or systematic analysis to identify the determinants of health worker performance, and the points of weakness and gaps in the governance of human resources in the health care system at the district level in Vietnam.en
