    • A review on the mechanical and thermodynamic robustness of superhydrophobic surfaces

Scarratt, Liam R.J.; Steiner, Ullrich; Neto, Chiara
      Published 2017-05-30
Advancements in the fabrication and study of superhydrophobic surfaces have been significant over the past 10 years, and some 20 years after the discovery of the lotus effect, the study of special wettability surfaces can ...

    • Functional patterned coatings by thin polymer film dewetting

Telford, Andrew M.; Thickett, S.C.; Neto, Chiara
      Published 2017-07-04
An approach for the fabrication of functional polymer surface coatings is introduced, where micro-scale structure and surface functionality are obtained by means of self-assembly mechanisms. We illustrate two main applications ...

    • Control of nanoparticle formation using the constrained dewetting of polymer brushes

Lee, Thomas; Hendy, Shaun C.; Neto, Chiara
      Published 2015-01-14
We have used coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the use of pinned micelles formed by the constrained dewetting of polymer brushes to act as a template for nanoparticle formation. The evaporation ...

    • High Glass Transition Temperature Fluoropolymers for Hydrophobic Surface Coatings via RAFT Copolymerization

Rowe, M.; Teo, G.; Horne, J.; Al-Khayat, Omar; Neto, Chiara; Thickett, Stuart C.
      Published 2016-02-24
The preparation of polymer thin films or surface coatings that display a static water contact angle .958 often requires hierarchical roughness features or surface functionalization steps. In addition, inherently hydrophobic ...

    • The Good the Bad and the Slippery: A Tale of Three Solvents in Polymer Film Dewetting

Al-Khayat, Omar; Hong, Jun Ki; Geraghty, Kieran; Neto, Chiara
      Published 2016-09-01
We investigated the dynamics and morphology of dewetting of bilayers of thin polymer films, made of a top poly(4-vinylpyridine) (P4VP) film on a polystyrene film on silicon substrates, upon exposure to vapors of binary and ...

      Export search results

The export option will allow you to export the current search results of the entered query to a file. Different formats are available for download. To export the items, click on the button corresponding with the preferred download format.

Administrators can export up to 15000 items. Regular users can export no more than 500 items.

To select a subset of the search results, click "Selective Export" button and make a selection of the items you want to export. The amount of items that can be exported at once is similarly restricted as the full export.

After making a selection, click one of the export format buttons. The amount of items that will be exported is indicated in the bubble next to export format.
