    • Controls on the global distribution of contourite drifts: Insights from an eddy-resolving ocean model

Tharn, Amanda C; Dutkiewicz, Adriana; Spence, Paul Spence; Müller, Dietmar R.
      Published 2018-05-01
Contourite drifts are anomalously high sediment accumulations that form due to reworking by bottom currents. Due to the lack of a comprehensive contourite database, the link between vigorous bottom water activity and drift ...

    • New evidence of Hawaiian coral reef drowning in response to meltwater pulse-1A

Sanborn, Kelsey L.; Webster, Jody Michael; Yokoyama, Yusuke; Dutton, Andrea; Braga, Juan C; Clague, David A; Paduan, Jennifer B; Wagner, Daniel; Rooney, John J.B; Hansen, John R
      Published 2017-11-01
Fossil coral reefs are valuable recorders of glacio-eustatic sea-level changes, as they provide key temporal information on deglacial meltwater pulses (MWPs). The timing, rate, magnitude, and meltwater source of these ...
