Our world has changed dramatically since the 1950s. The pace of change has been so rapid that the last 6 decades have been dubbed as “The Great Acceleration”. This Great Acceleration will continue to dash forward but in a highly volatile and unpredictable fashion. At the same time, Public Health has grown significantly and contributed to higher life expectancy and quality of life. However, the pace is one of evolution. Academic systems are even more archaic and resistant.Our world has changed dramatically since the 1950s.
