    • Design of Stainless Steel Roof Sections (No. R851)

      Lecce, Maura; Rasmussen, Kim J.R.
      Published 2005
This report describes the influence of flange curling on cross-sectional properties and critical elastic buckling stresses of two wide-flanged roof sections (commercially available Monoclad and Megaclad). Results show that ...

    • Wave Interaction with a Porous Structure over a Sandy Seabed (No. R862)

      Tsai, Ching P.; Chen, H. B.; Jeng, Dong S.
      Published 2005
In this study, a new analytic solution of the wave interaction with a porous structure over a sandy seabed is derived. A uniform water depth is assumed, and the layer of the rigid porous medium is placed over an infinite ...

    • Design of Slender Angle Section Beam-Columns by the Direct Strength Method (No. R838)

Rasmussen, Kim J.R.; Hossain, Shamim M.
      Published 2004
This report is concerned with the application of the Direct Strength Method to equal angle section beam-columns with locally unstable legs. In contrast to existing design methods, which independently determine the compression ...

    • Flexural-Torsional Buckling of Columns with Oblique Eccentric Restraints (No. R841)

Trahair, Nicholas S.; Rasmussen, Kim J.R.
      Published 2004
This paper is concerned with the elastic flexural-torsional buckling of concentrically loaded columns with oblique eccentric restraints. Oblique flexural restraints may resist deflections as well as flexural rotations, ...

    • Dynamic Response of a Circular Tunnel with a Piecewise Lining and Embedded in a Poroelastic Medium (No. R853)

      Lu, Frank; Jeng, Dong S.
      Published 2005
In this paper, dynamic response of a circular tunnel with prefabricated piecewise lining embedded in a porous medium subjected to seismic waves is studied. The surrounding saturated porous medium of the tunnel is described ...
