See moreNew York is home to fashion, music, film, art, business… and thousands of homeless people. The proposed design aims to physically get these people “off the streets”. The building clings to the Radio City Music Hall. Below, a new street space has been carved into the block. It has been filled with a new kitchen, clothing depot, and multi-purpose levels to provide space to the public. It will become an area to share, develop, and grow with those less fortunate. The shelter itself consists of individual bedroom pods and a bathroom on each floor. These pods designed to provide a private space for an individual. By providing each room with a louver system that allows the occupants to control their level of privacy and views.
