dc.description.abstract | This project explores the typology of an "engine" within the context of the SES Centre and the relationship between the facade and the interior. An "engine" typology consists of closely packed, interlocking components to define the floor plan and section. This strategy is applied to generate the design solution to respond to the given brief. The second part of the project focuses on the relationship between the interior functions and the façade. The design response is to use a three-dimension, interlocking set of beams to create a “web” enclosure around the building. | en_AU |
