dc.description.abstract | In this historical church, the façade wall over the years is the reflection of the real life of the building and the city, which is far from being frozen at a certain point of time. This idea leads to the concept that the building in different period of history should have different features. Actually, the process of introducing a theatre into the church is a process of “metabolism”. The final design is actually approached by treating the body of the church as the human body. Then the splice of the new modern walls and semicircular roofing is the physical transformation, which represents the energy transformation from a church to an anatomy theatre | en_AU |
