Think Tokyo – a city that nears so close to its Hollywood depiction it’s almost unnerving. Where the days are long, the work ethic strong and the skyline is overly riddled with narrow, mundane concrete structures often plagued with that awful blue-glass that was preferable some decades ago. Enter Opacity – a six-storey all-encompassing serviced apartment building with fifty-five spacious units working within the geometry of the 635m2 obscured quadrilateral piece of land. These apartments average at large 45m2 each, with the smaller studio-style units more suitable for single person use and the larger units more couple-orientated – equipped with premium kitchen spaces, dining rooms, work spaces and entertainment systems. It’s ethereal copper, timber and glass materiality purposefully offers limited parallels with Tokyo’s existing skyline, but instead chooses to favour and reminisce upon a more traditional Japanese aesthetic that prevails during the day but is intensified at night. Opacity offers more than a mere living space aiming to place a roof upon one’s head – it offers a much needed serene experience that is triggered by the sight of its exterior and emphasised through the journey through it’s internal space. With high ceilings and external circulation elements, Opacity offers 360-degree views of downtown Tokyo, with a vantage point trumped by few. Amenities are abundant and all-appealing – with the ground level encompassing a spacious lobby and lounge area, a sashimi bar, a café, gym facilities and a unique angled thorough way with adjacent market stalls permitting entry from the centre of the building outwards to either of the facing lift shafts. This permits visitor use as well as sheer convenience for residents who lack the time or desire to venture elsewhere to obtain groceries or other goods. The building offers endless potential to those who desire a retreat from their ordinary Tokyo lifestyle, providing a haven from which one can start and end an arduous day with warmth and style. Be the first to secure the Opacity experience – purchase your apartment today.en_AU
