Furthermore, the design of the sport centre can corporate with the local community smoothly since this creates a pedestrian linkage from the locals in resident area (the site above) to the main street. The shape of sports centre is able to give local residences convenience since they are able to have the shortest possible pathway to reach the main street. Also the outer spaces created in between the buildings and the rock climbing wall can become an area that local people and children can gather, this enables the sports centre become an area where the locals can used and rest. The concept of breaking the sports centre into three blocks is trying to increase local residents’ mobility and fluidity of circulation in between the area of the main street and the residental area. Inter-crossing use of inner space and outer space can be created by having bridges and opening panels. Therefore users in the sports centre are able to use the smallest possible footpath yet accommodate all the required sports facilities and a fluid narrative of space can be expressed. The shape of the sports centre are able to give local residents convenience and safety by providing a shortest possible pathway to reach the main street and car users and pedestrian will be separated by pathways through the design of the sports centre. The space created in between the rock climbing wall and the 3 blocks of the sports centre can not only become a pedestrain precinct, also residents and children are able to use it as an area to rest and gather, through having a high porosity of building and outer surrounding area, the interaction between neighbours can be increased which increase the community’s unity and harmony.
