See moreMy project was to design a ferry terminal to provide a transportation link between Tunis and surrounding cities, the terminal however facilitates much more than a convenient platform for transit. But rather the building aims to combine and complement the somewhat conflicting activities of leisure and transit under the one roof. Many facilities are provided for in this building and coupled with its breathtaking views of the sea as well as internal views of the equally tantalising sculptural roof assembly, There is a restaurant located on the water front capitalize on the water view and sea breezes and upstairs a shopping mall can be accessed via elegant spiraling stairs or state glass lifts placed on the external faces of the building for ocean views. Linked to the stowing zones and dining lounge this floor symbiotically links together Transit and non transit operations. The ferry terminal in its design, structure and facilities will attract visitors and evoke a sense of pride in the local residents of this beautiful place on earth.
