A city both foreign and captivating, full of contrasts and diversity. a city that is checked with a violent history, yet is reborn time and time again. My ambition was to create a space that would exhibit the history of the city within its walls while integrating the violence and confliction that defines it within the architecture itself. movement through the space is a journey in itself, blurring the definition between outside and inside, and welcoming the city within its purposely positioned openings. The project illustrates the problem and the process in finding an architecture that respectfully mirrors jerusalem.
