Abstract

Paris Wine Tasting Pavilion The reason I chose to design a wine pavilion in the place of Vendome, Paris, because after research I found out that all the French fashions are around the square, but not a wine store, I think the square will be much more interesting for visitor if we can have a wine tasting store there, however, wine has a very rich history over the French cultural. The main function of my building is a wine tasting place, at the same time the building also is a wine store and wine exhibition center. The store is a three storeys building, the entrance is open space and it is facing the main road, because this can catch more customer’s attention to come into the store. The concept of my design is about difference kind of experience, people will have the choice to sit indoor or outdoor. Outdoor experience is about having their meal on grass area, which means people can enjoy the beauty of the nature, indoor experience is more about silent, which gives customer a more quite place for themselves. The most exciting experience will be inside the capsule, they made from aluminium so able to strew to two posts on the façade, at the same time they also linked together by three steel columns. Capsules are the VIP rooms, a place where some people wish to keep alone and isolated to other people. The façade has roller support so able to slide, this creates extra spaces for customer if there is a big exhibition/party is set. When façade slides out, the automatic ladder stair will come out automatically for people to go into the capsule. The glass surface has wave-like pattern, the reason I chose this type glass because the wave-like pattern become harmonious to wine, which psychologically create an atmosphere for people get ready to drink wine.
