| dc.description.abstract | TWA one and two are the first of Tokyo Water Authority’s flagship ferry terminals. Promptly transporting commuters into the city. Developing a relevant, modern and sustainable terminal has been achieved through the [RE]use of shipping containers. The shipping containers allow for flexibility of design and purpose. Arranged to provide space for two cafes, a newsagent, a florist and staff quarters, the endless potential is apparent. The irregular placement of the shipping container develops the complex relationship between the north and south of the river. Being joined on the upper floor, to invite people across. Passing below the containers on the ferry is an experience to be explored. | en |
