dc.description.abstract | Summary Through this semester, I knew a lot of our site New York. From its culture and history, we can see the evolution of the city’s architecture. There is a very interesting developing of the high rise building here. The architect worked for the city keep designing buildings matching the needs of the city with time flying. From both the exercise and the research, I learned not only the skill but the experience from the precedent project. Such as the how the building fit the people need’s today, how we can use the limited area in designing building to get more functions, using the environment friendly material and effective structure in the building, etc. However, I also find lots of shorts of myself such as the drawing skill, model making skill. In addition, my team mates also give me a lot of suggestions and I also learned a lot from them. In this semester, I quite clear how the overall project coming out in the particular order which is not the same with last semester’s day-dreaming. Yeah, I think I get the idea that why we architect can’t say I just like it so I design this style but we should have the reason of every design. My project is General Hospital. The roof garden and the triangle shape which are the main design ideas here. Roof garden make the patients live in natural possiblely. And the triangle shape will free the space in the mass New York city. | en |
