This project is an elementary school situated in the district of Asakusa, Tokyo. This building concentrates on creating the feeling of open space and reflecting Japanese architecture, both traditional and contemporary. The impression of having more space is achieved by having a central atrium that is overlooked by glass corridors and transparent walls. This is wrapped by a punctured steel facade which resembles the Japanese art of Origami through its folds and paper-like thinness. This project is an elementary school situated in the district of Asakusa, Tokyo.
