DESA1002 'Nine Quarter City' - <Kunishige Shirai>

Abstract

Summary of Project Kunishige Shirai SID: 308088301 City: Isfahan Block reference: C12 Program of building: Bazaar / Food market What they sale: Fruit and/or fresh vegetable My design of building or I would say space is Food Bazaar in Isfahan. There is main circulation at middle of building space. Main walk way surrounded by four block buildings which selling fruit and/or fresh vegetable. Those blocks of shops are always there to sale their products. The gaps between those block of buildings used for Free Market. There are shopping counter at space (as plan shows). This Free Market is for every sort of shops, one day might be other farmer sale their special fruit and vegetables or might be someone sale accessory. There is cafes located bottom line of my site. These cafes are for “Shisha” which is water cigarette, very popular at Middle East Asia. Of course there are both Male and Female toilet near both shopping area and café area. Also there is providing for Disable facility. At main walk way have artificial vegetation which looks like bamboo. Those are made by steel bars which bended randomly and painted colour as Green and Red, to make walk way view more colourful and separate the shopping area and just for circulation. Roof structure is one of main feature of this building, colourful and unique design. Texture as referred to Iranian flower. People might think Iran has more deserts, but there are many beautiful flowers in Isfahan Iran. Higher ceiling because Isfahan climate is dry hot temperature, higher ceiling will ventilate space and visually makes more open.
