My building sits on between two large plazas in Madrid, Spain, where the large number of population flows and everyone can easily stop by and enjoy their free time. Madrid is one of Spain’s most popular destinations and renowned for its large quantity of cultural attractions. Thus I have decided to build a contemporary Art gallery. In my opinion, contemporary art collection is relatively easier to understand than any other fine/historic art collections. Within this busy and complicate city, this gallery is designed to provide the place for relaxing. Thus my building has distinctive features of ‘resting place’ in the centre of busy metropolis. I have named my gallery as ‘andante’, which was denoted from musical notation that should be played fairly slowly. The gallery is consisted of 3 floors. It has 3 main indoor exhibition areas, 2 exterior exhibition gardens and 1 public exhibition space. The significant feature of my building is, within the gallery, besides the indoor exhibit space, there are two gardens also exist. First garden in ground floor is named as ‘secret garden’, where is being isolated from city and people can enjoy the art collections. The second garden in upper floor is called ‘roof top garden’. On the other hand, it is designed to provide the arbour for the visitors. As the ‘roof top garden’ offer great Madrid city views, it can be a famous tourist site besides the art collections, other wise, people can also freshen up them self. The unique space was also designed. It is called public exhibit space, attracting visitors from the streets. By providing shelters for disasters, such as rains, people can find their interests spontaneously. It is very important place that can attract ‘art’ to people naturally.en
