dc.description.abstract	The countries in Southeast Asia are going through an epidemiological transition, with an increasing number of older adults. As age is a contributing risk factor, older people with diabetes face an increased risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. This thesis aims: (1)To examine the prevalence of comorbidities and common geriatric syndromes in older people with type 2 diabetes in Southeast Asia, and (2) To examine the management of cardiovascular risk factors and cardiovascular diseases in older people with type 2 diabetes in the region.	en
