NDIS Psychosocial Disability ARC Laureate Project
Browse by
This Australian Research Council (ARC) Industry Laureate Project focuses on supports for people with serious mental ill-health (also called psychosocial disability) in and beyond the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The project received funding from an ARC Industry Laureate Fellowship held by Professor Jen Smith-Merry, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and the University of Sydney. This five-year project (2024-2029) aims to produce policy-relevant findings to address serious deficits in the operation of the NDIS for people with psychosocial disability and the gaps in support for people with serious mental illness who do not receive support through the NDIS. Our research draws on high-level expertise in policy design, health economics, epidemiology and qualitative methods.
