In this thesis, we study three families of quantum integrable systems and the corresponding special functions that arise from separation of variables. By analysing the respective classical systems, we are able to elucidate connections between the classical and quantum systems, their symmetries and the latter’s associated special functions. In this thesis, we study three families of quantum integrable systems and the corresponding special functions that arise from separation of variables.
