The Sydney Health & Society Group was established in 2012 as a way of promoting productive discussions and collaborations between people in the Sydney area interested in the social and cultural aspects of health, illness, medicine and public health. This is achieved through regular meetings, the dissemination of information on topics of mutual interest using the group email list and wiki and the publication of a working paper series. The founder and convenor of the group and coordinator of the working paper series is Deborah Lupton from the Department of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Sydney. She may be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org.
