See moreThis portfolio of original compositions serves as the “materia prima” of this body of work. It is the first fruit of my research through creative practice and a direct manifestation of knowledge acquired through craft. This exegesis therefore exists as an adjunct body of retrospective analytical notes that ascertain and trace several primary concepts featured within each composition, which are: the relationship between technology and my creative process, the concept of The Void, Hermetic philosophy, “plasticism” (hypermodern parody and kitsch), and, polystylism and genre deformation. These concepts are then framed within the context of Lipovetsky’s hypermodern discourse, within which I have identified certain trends that feature in my work.
