The Singing Flute is written in four parts and surveys tone philosophies from past to present. It includes four significant flautists. Part I explores the French Flute School teachings of Marcel Moyse (1889-1984); the following three parts document tonal practices of current international flute experts: Philippe Bernold (France, 1960 -), Leone Buyse (USA, 1947 -), and Thies Roorda (Netherlands, 1954 -).The Singing Flute is written in four parts and surveys tone philosophies from past to present.
