Observations of water in its many forms within the everyday environment is a key source of inspiration. Exploration of the practice of mindfulness and its integration into the repetitious daily journey as well as within the process of glassblowing is also examined. The process of formation of knowledge through art practice and the development of technical skills such as ultrasound are compared through observation of beginners in both fields. Both mindfulness and technical skill improvement lead to neuroplasticity and hence changes in the brain which is an ever expanding area of research.
