<summary type="text">Lab Report 2 - Multiband compressor for mastering
Cuthbertson, David
Presented in this report is a digital multiband compressor product development. With a working prototype built in the matlab environment called mcompdav.m. It calls the sub-function holtcomp.m to perform RMS level detection and compression. Two different filtering options during the band splitting process are offered and further wave shaping through the implementation of output gain controls per-band is permitted. Plot figures and sound file examples are also presented.
Use the 'callmulticomp.m' script and the 'run section' command to run the system with various settings. You can input your own variables and change the input .wav file easily within the script.

The objective of this paper is to present a new prospect in digital audio technology to audio experts of various calibres, with the knowledge that it can be employed by anyone and everyone through simplified explanations and facilitative user interface. Through the implementation of a digital audio system, qualities of real world spaces can now be emulated in a virtual environment for use in 3D audio-visual entertainment such as virtual motion simulators. Two spatial effects, 3D panning and reverberation, will be merged into one product to create an ultimate sense of space and sound localisation, without which, one cannot be truly immersed in a virtual world.

<summary type="text">Doppler synthesized effect with wah wah and reverb effects
Joy, Vishal Paul
Doppler Effect is the relative change in frequency when a source of sound moves towards or away from the observer/ listener. Doppler Effect is frequently observed when a loud siren of an ambulance moves past the listener. Doppler Effect causes the frequency to shift higher or lower according to the distance, speed and direction of the source compared to the observer. The following described program creates an audio effect much different from the once found in the market. Doppler effects are frequently not used when compared to other effects such as reverberation by audio engineers. The program described in this report creates an audio effect which implements Doppler Effect useful for audio engineers for audio production.
newdoppler.m is the main matlab file.other functions are called from the main function i.e, newdoppler function. Report is also submitted along.
