This report is a part of the continuation from the works I’ve done for the previous lab report and written review, included with the report a matlab script named limit_script.m that will call out two other matlab functions, which are multi_band_limiter.m and newlimit.m to do multi-band signal limiting of an input signal. The filter designed for the specific script are based on Tom Brickhill’s past year works that works by splitting the signal into three band limiter that is further processed and recombined to create the outcomes. Furthermore it takes precise measure to see the performance of the system, figures and plots will helps to visualize the ability of the system.

This paper introduces some basic concepts, and then explains how to design digital audio system to reach the ideal effect. Finally, it illustrates the drawbacks of the design.

Presented in this report is a digital multiband tremolo effect. With a product built for a matlab environment, the script CallScript passes the input signal through the function MultiBandTremolo, which in-turn passes the signal through the function named Tremolo. The script then plays the original input signal, and then the output signal. The settings of the tremolo are customisable for full creative control. Included are also four examples of the effect in use with varying settings.
Run the 'CallScript.m' script and to run the system with the given input file. settings can be changed easily, as can using your own .wav file as the input signal.
