| Abstract: | Men in island cultures who live outside heteronormative social models must negotiate a space where transgressive sexualities may be expressed. My thesis ‘explores’ these negotiated spaces and alternative masculinities as depicted in the literatures of post-independence authors from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Singapore. |
