| Abstract: | As the high density of Manhattan stimulates the pressing tempo, especially in the area around Rockefeller Centre, there would be convenient with a place for a short break and relax. Since the situation is dealing on the Fifth Avenue in New York, a gallery of young fashion designer would set a suitable place for visiting and coffee. As the competitive of Now York fashion limits the stage for latest designer in fashion, and the appreciation of modern and creation in New York, I was thinking bring all these elements together remarks the function and culture. My design of the building inspired by the CCTV building in China, the crossing structural texture lifts the social level and achieves the controlling of the light as a gallery. Since the art’s best condition provides by natural light, however during over direct sunlight would damage its quality. So the concentration of the building lies on the exterior and interior lights, and it relates all sorts of design such as function, circulation and spaces. |
