Abstract

This project places a significant emphasis on the relationship between computer’s main board and New York City and how this can be represented through built form. The buildings are closed in pairs in New York City that is the largest city in the United States. That is, the city is serves as one of the world's primary global cities, exerting a powerful influence over worldwide commerce, finance, culture, and entertainment. The city’s topography looks like computer’s main board. In addition, the main board is organized computer chips and board. This means the city’s buildings are computer chips and board is topography and road. I represented wall structure which is referenced by computer chip that is rectangular shape in my office building. However, I changed wall structure that is triangular shape because rectangular shape is simple and I referenced Japanese building that is Tod’s building. The project building structure is simple 4 columns and concrete wall structure in shopping center. Moreover, office building structure is 4 columns same as shopping center and wall structure is light steel frame because the shopping building supports the office building.
